Cycles - Will Preiss
This was a project I had worked on a few years back with a local musician to help promote his album. He was wanting imagery of nature, and the progression of the day/night cycle. This song in particular for him was all about how much change and repetition there can be throughout a single day.
The edit follows the song by starting with the beauty of sunset followed by the loss of light when night comes out. The song has a key change with darker tones to it at this part. When the mood lightens a little with another rhythm change, it's represented by dawn, and more life and movement can be seen. Then when the sun comes out, colors and brightness fill the images along with a much more upbeat rhythm with the song.
I had a great time working on this, as it got me outside, filming in places that I love being!
